Celeste Goodson Created a Core Strengthening Program for Postpartum Runners


Today I’m going a few easy miles with Celeste Goodson, the founder of ReCORE Fitness.

An Acquired Taste for the Marathon

When Celeste got into running, she was a big fan of shorter events like the 5k and the 10k.

And coming from someone that ran track, that kind of makes sense.

But of late, Celeste has starting to dig into the marathon a bit more and will be running Boston for the first time later this spring.

She is still looking for a first solid marathon effort (aren’t we all!), and is hoping that the training and the weather and all of the other variables will align in April in Hopkinton.

After having her 3rd baby, Celeste noticed that her body wasn’t bouncing back the same way that it did during her first couple of pregnancies.

According to her doctor, surgery was the only option that was available.

But Celeste decided to try something different.

Using her experience working in the health and fitness industry for years, she developed a program and tested it out on herself that helped her recoordinate her core musculature and improve her core strength and stability.

And it has made all the difference for her!

Celeste started working with other postpartum women that were dealing with similar issues as she experienced, and the results have been incredibly positive.
