Chris Ward Loves the Trails and Living Like a Bigfoot!
Today I’m going a few easy miles with Bigfoot wanna be Chris Ward.

Chris Ward Lives Like a Bigfoot
Chris is also a family man and has taken the last year off from his teaching responsibilities to be a stay at home dad for his two young children.
And that Bigfoot bit? Yeah, we will get to that in a bit.
A Lover of All Things Trail
Chris got started as a runner on the roads of Iowa, but once he experienced trail running his love for the sport really took hold.
After Chris and his wife moved to Virginia, his love for the trails really took root. And now that they live in Colorado, he’s experiencing a different type of trail and loving it as well.

Chris Ward on the Trails
I asked Chris if he had a preference between hitting the trails in VA vs CO, and he had to pause for a second to think about the question.
He tried his best to avoid giving an answer, but reading between the lines it sounds like he slightly prefers running in Appalachia.
Like a Bigfoot
The Like a Bigfoot podcast came about, in large part, because Chris was staying home with his kids.
The podcast scratches two itches for Chris: it serves as his creative outlet and it gives him a chance to talk to adults on occasion!
Chris’s podcast isn’t a running podcast per se, though he’s talked to several runners on his show over the first 40+ episodes.
The focus of the Like a Bigfoot podcast is people doing epic stuff outdoors.
Whether that’s hiking, running, biking, or whatever, just getting outside and pushing your boundaries constitutes living Like a Bigfoot!
