Diz Runs With… Jeff Kline
On today’s run, I’m joining Jeff Kline for a few easy miles to talk about the 2700 mile run he has recently embarked upon. The run has been organized to help raise awareness about prostate cancer, and the importance of early detection to saving lives.
We talked about many things relating to Jeff’s run, prostate cancer, and training techniques for endurance training. Here are a few of the highlights:Early detection of prostate cancer has a 100% survival rate.
- Screening doesn’t mean having a digital exam–it’s a simple blood test.
- There are many races to raise money for prostate cancer research–you just have to look for them!
- Signs and symptoms of prostate problems.
- Effort based training vs. heart rate training.
Jeff has a great mission over the course of this run that he is tackling. His goal is to inspire 2700 men to commit to get screened for prostate cancer and is hoping to raise $30,000 as well.

There’s always room for more members of the tribe!
Both the Facebook group and the email group provide opportunities that can’t be found anywhere else.
The Facebook group is still small, but it is a great way to connect with fellow runners and foster community amongst like minded individuals. The email group is THE way to stay up to date about future guests on the show, as well as getting some other freebies and offers that aren’t available to anyone else.
If you’ve got questions about either/both, just let me know!
