Jonathan Beverly Speaks About Myths, Methods, and Your Favorite Running Shoes!

Today I’m extremely excited to be running a few easy miles with Jonathan Beverley!

"<yoastmark

Jonathan was the editor-in-chief for Running Times for 15 years.
He recently published his first book, Your Best Stride, and is finishing up his second book which will be published later this year.

Getting an Early Start

When Jonathan got to high school, he joined the cross country team.
Jonathan excelled at the sport and ended up running his first marathon at 16 years old.
Many “experts” don’t recommend running long distances at such a young age, but, Jonathan actually addressed this issue in one of his articles.
If you’re looking for more information on this subject, you’ll want to get Jonathan’s next book! He does a lot of research and interviews many runners that are still running late in their lives and starting in the sport at a rather young age.

Writing Abroad

Jonathan knew he had an innate ability to write after winning an essay contest in college.
While traveling all over the world, Jonathan was conducting research and writing for journals overseas.
Jonathan’s writing career really took off after he was brought on to be the editor-in-chief for Running Times magazine.

Your Best Stride

This book is Jonathan’s attempt to debunk many of the myths that are present in the running community concerning proper form and running mechanics.

The book touches on many different topics, including running shoes, strength training, and efficiency.

Get a copy of Your Best Stride on Amazon. And while you’re there, pre-order Run Strong Stay Hungry, which is due out later this fall.
