Diz Runs With… Peter Shankman

On today’s episode of the show, I’m joining entrepreneur, speaker, author, sky diver, runner, triathlete, husband, and father Peter Shankman for a few quick miles in NYC.

Peter Shankman, Interview, Podcast,

Peter Shankman

Peter is obviously a busy guy but he makes time for the things that are most important to him, and running/training for triathlons are activities that he prioritizes. We talked about a range of topics today, from running, to sky diving, to pet peeves concerning people on social media. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Getting a ticket for running in Central Park while it was “closed”.
  • Why he prefers running alone as opposed to with others.
  • A busy schedule for 2015, both in business and in exercise.
  • We are on the same page when it comes to qualifying for Boston.
  • His pre-race conversation as a “sponsored triathlete” in Mexico.

I had a blast talking with Peter today, and I really love what he had to say about making time for the things that are important to us. Whether it’s running, business, family, or whatever, saying you don’t have time is the biggest copout I’ve ever heard and it’s simply not true.

We all have the same amount of time, the difference is how we CHOOSE to spend it.

If you’d like to connect with Peter online, check out his website and I’d highly encourage you to make it a point to read his blog.
