If I were in your position, this is the exact question that would be going through my mind. So if you’re having such thoughts/reservations, I can’t say that I blame you.
Here’s the truth: I’m not offering to help you grow/promote your race out of the sheer goodness of my heart.
But that doesn’t mean that I don’t sincerely want to help you and your race be more successful.
“You can have everything in life you want if you will just help other people get what they want.” ~Zig Ziglar
I operate with this principle in mind, and I’m confident that by helping you and other races become more successful I will also become more successful.
How?
In any number of ways.
My ultimate goal is to speak at several races each year. If you feature a speaker or need an emcee for anything associated with the race, I would love to be considered as an option either this year or in the future.
And if you don’t have a speaker annually, perhaps you could mention my name when you know of another race that is looking for a speaker for their event?
Additionally, you can promote my podcast or mention my book or do any number of other things that would expose me and my brand to your audience.
Of course, if you just want to hire me to help promote your race, I’m cool with that too.
What I’m trying to say is that I can envision a number of ways that we can create a very mutually beneficial relationship both for this year’s race and, potentially, for many years to come.
