Sarah Shupp Is the Every Day Runners Biggest Ambassador
Sarah Shupp is a blogger, fellow Altra ambassador, and runner who is joining me today for a few easy miles.

Sarah Shupp Doesn’t Hate Running. I Promise.
Running first entered her life as a way to lose weight and she quickly fell in love with the sport.
(Contrary to what it says on her shirt!)
Inspiration From the Back of the Pack
Sarah first began running in January of 2010 solely as a means to shed some weight and get healthier.
What began as a weight loss journey turned into eventually viewing herself as an athlete.
Her defining moment came while spectating at a half marathon.
She witnessed people that looked just like her finishing a half, and it was a turning point.
If anyone is lacking inspiration, Sarah recommends watching the finish of a race.
Inspiration will cross the finish line in all shapes and sizes.

If You Can Run, You Can Do Anything
Sarah found the ultimate confidence booster in running.
Running is hard. If she could run, she decided that she could do other hard things in her life.
Sarah ultimately changed her mindset in the process and learned some lessons along the way.
- Think like an athlete and embrace it
- You can’t outrun a bad diet
- Running has physical AND mental benefits

The Happiest Place On Earth for Runners
If there is a question about a Disney race, it is likely that Sarah has an answer.
For a mid to back of the pack runner Disney races are ideal.
Disney offers generous cut-off times which supports the idea that anyone can participate in a race.
Sarah shared some of the many reasons she prefers Disney races over others:
- The races are events and not just a race
- Exciting start and finish
- Cast members cheer along the way
- Character meet and greet on the course
- Great variety of food and candy at fuel stations
- Beautiful and unique medals
