A Strength Training Routine for Runners (with Video)
There is no doubt in my mind that a regular strength training routine for runners is a must.
There are too many benefits of strength training for runners of all speeds and distances for us to continue to neglect to include it as part of our training any longer.
Yet runners continue to skip strength training for a variety of reasons, but three of the most common excuses I hear are:
- I don’t have time
- I don’t know what exercises to do
- I don’t have a gym membership
In this week’s video, I talk about how I’ve overcome my strength training excuses and share with you the simple routine I now make as much of a priority as my running workouts.
Enter your name and email address above, and I’ll send you a PDF guide explaining all of the exercises mentioned in this video.

The video was a little quick on the list, and not much explanation on the 5 workouts, can you elaborate further? I need to get back to the strength workouts again, and want to give it a shot.
Noted. I was planning on putting together a short PDF or something to go with the video that had all exercises listed, just didn’t get to it. I’ll have it ready over the weekend for download.
Awesome thanks buddy. I will give it a shot.
The link to download the exercises is now in the post. Let me know if you have any problems/questions!
