Tim Cigelske Earned His Status As The Official Beer Runner

Today’s guest is someone that enjoys a good run about as much as he enjoys a good beer!

For about 10 years, he wrote a regular column in DRAFT magazine called the Beer Runner and during that time he also had a duel streak going for 3 years: daily running and a daily beer.

I am looking forward to an easy run with Tim Cigelske and seeing what topics we can cover!

When Life Gets Crazy, Veteran Tim Nichols Turns to Running

Running was never something that Tim Nichols did a lot of, until he joined the United States Air Force and didn’t have a choice! Now that he is no longer active duty, he finds himself running fairly often but on his terms and at his pace.

While running isn’t Tim’s focus in his day to day life, he has learned over time how important it is to have a release when life gets stressful and he has found that running can be a great way for him to relieve that stress.

We covered lots of ground on our run today, and here are some of the highlights:

  • What basic training is really like, and how much running is actually required.
  • Running was a chance for some alone time on the base in Afghanistan.
  • Now, running allows him to get away from work, clear his head, and increase productivity.
  • Adjusting to life now that he isn’t living within the rigid structure of military life.
  • Diving into new his new passions of podcasting and craft beer.

Best place to find Tim online to connect with him, find info about both of his podcasts (The 52 Week Start Up and Brewing Business) is on his website. http://brewingbusinesspc.com
