When Nora got into running, she definitely jumped into the deep end! We talked about her foray into our sport, and how she quickly went from training for her first half marathon to running her first ultra. And in addition to quickly increasing her race distances, she did it all while life was going crazy at the same time.

We also talked about her experience running Boston in 2013 and it’s clear that those wounds are still real for her. Thankfully she wasn’t injured physically when the bombs went off, but the emotional wounds are still healing.

And the catalyst to making these changes in his life? Losing his mom at the age of 58 to heart disease brought about by obesity. At 330+ pounds he didn’t want to go down the same path with his health, and he started running.
