An Inside Sneak Peak At the Mastermind Meeting Of Three Coaches

The show today will look a bit different than usual as I’m joined by two other running coaches that I’ve gotten to know quite well over the past several years.

Each week our Mastermind group spends an hour brainstorming new ideas, offering suggestions, or sharing personal experiences.

This episode will hopefully touch on some topics that will help you start looking forward to 2021 and the possibility of races becoming a regular thing again.

It’s my pleasure to welcome back to the show, Nora Bird and Laura Norris.

Nora Bird Showing Off Her Buckle After the Vermont 100

Nora was first on the show back in episode 206. If you missed our first chat, head on over and check it out!

We talked about the emotions surrounding her running in the 2013 Boston Marathon, and her entering the Leadville lottery on a whim and winning!

Since our last chat, a lot has changed for this 100-mile fanatic! Read more

Nora Bird is One to Ask “Why Not” When an Opportunity Presents Itself (Best Of)

On today’s show, we are taking a trip down memory lane to revisit my chat with Nora Bird.

When Nora got into running, she definitely jumped into the deep end! We talked about her foray into our sport, and how she quickly went from training for her first half marathon to running her first ultra. And in addition to quickly increasing her race distances, she did it all while life was going crazy at the same time.

We also talked about her experience running Boston in 2013 and it’s clear that those wounds are still real for her. Thankfully she wasn’t injured physically when the bombs went off, but the emotional wounds are still healing.

Here are some of the highlights from my chat with Nora Bird. Read more
