Norma Bastidas got into running the same way that many people do: to deal with the stress that was bubbling up in her life from a variety of fronts.

Once she found running, she hasn’t stopped. And in the decade that she has been running she’s done more than many of us will do in our lifetimes.

Norma may not have been a runner for her entire life, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a natural. During her first marathon (which she ran less than six months after she started running), she qualified for Boston. She then entered the Canadian Death Race, which is an 85 mile ultra, shortly thereafter because she wanted to run another race.

And from there, she was hooked.

Since then, she’s literally run all over the world, she set a new Guinness record for completing the worlds longest triathlon, and continues to find more races and ways to push herself.

And while she’s been at it, she’s raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a variety of very worth causes.
