A Wine and Dine Chat
The Wine and Dine Half Marathon is coming up quick, and I for one, am super excited that the race will be here in just a few more weeks!
This race is easily my favorite runDisney event that I’ve run, and I look forward to the race every year. I’ve run the race every year that it has been in existence, and I’m looking forward to making it a perfect 5 for 5 this year.
What Makes the Wine and Dine Half Marathon Special
There are many things that I like about running Wine and Dine, which is probably why I keep coming back year after year despite the cost of the race.
I love the fact that it’s a night race. I’m not as much of a night owl as I used to be, but there is just something special about running at night. Even back in my “I hate running” days, night time runs were always more tolerable for me, so I guess I get a dose of nostalgia from the 10 pm start time.
The course is unique, which is nice. Instead of continuing to recycle the same half marathon course that they use for the other WDW races, the Wine and Dine half has a course that is only used once each year. The course also includes more time in the parks, which is appreciated.
And of course, getting to experience Epcot after dark is epic. I won’t stick around for most of the party, but getting to literally walk into Soarin is something you can’t experience any other time than after running this race.
What Questions Do You Have?
If you’re running the Wine and Dine Half Marathon this year (2014), whether it’s your first time running it you’re collecting your 5th medal with me, I’d love it if you’d join me for a live chat on Wednesday, October 15th, at 7:30 pm EST. I’m going to be drinking some wine, and taking questions about any aspect of the race that I’m familiar with as you’re getting ready for the race.
If you’re interested in joining me, I’d love to have you. Sign up here, and I’ll see you on the 15th!
(PS–While this is technically a webinar, please know that I WILL NOT be selling anything. I just want to share some laughs, drink a little wine, and talk about my absolute favorite Disney race. I hope you’ll join me!)
**Disney Disclaimer-Not sure if this is needed, but just in case, I am in NO WAY affiliated with Walt Disney World, the Wine and Dine Half Marathon, or runDisney. I’m just a Disney fan boy who loves talking about this particular race.**
