Your Greatest Runs…

“Your Greatest Runs are Moments in Time When Running Allows You to See How Wonderful Your Life Is.”

~Kara Goucher

Is it just me, or is life a little crazy right now and only getting crazier?

Christmas is fast approaching and a New Year is right around the corner, and for many of us as the year winds down our stress levels rise up.

Holiday Stress Got You On Edge?

Holiday Stress Got You On Edge?

We stress out about getting the perfect Christmas presents for our friends and family.

We stress out about traveling to be with family for the holidays.

We stress out about the end of another year and all of the things that we didn’t do this year.

We stress out about the start of a new year and what the future holds.

We stress out about our rising level of stress!

We need to relax. We know we need to relax. And for some reason, getting ourself to relax is next to impossible.

Here’s a suggestion, go for a run.

The Power of a Good Run

Your Greatest Run...

Your Greatest Run…

I love this quote from Kara Goucher, and I feel like it rings true at this time of year as much as any.

The more we stress about, the more we struggle to remember how much in life we have to be thankful for.

My challenge to you as the hustle and bustle of the last few weeks of 2015 threaten to steamroll you and send your stress levels through the roof is to go for a run sans music/podcasts/audiobooks/noise, and just think about how wonderful your life really is.

It’s wonderful to be healthy enough to be able to run in the first place.

It’s wonderful to have family and friends to share the holidays with.

It’s wonderful to have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food on the table.

Life really is pretty wonderful when we take a step back from the edge and reflect on all the good things we have in our lives.
