QT: Nail Your Big Running Goals in 2020 and Beyond

As another year is winding down, a lot of runners are starting to make plans for the future.

And if you’re anything like me, you’re planning on some pretty big goals for the new year!

I’m a big fan of setting some epic running goals.

The problem with epic goals is that they usually take a while to be reached.

And by a while, I don’t mean weeks. I mean many months, and sometimes (oftentimes?) many years.

For a lot of people, and runners are no exception, staying on track for months/years is quite difficult.

But it’s not impossible.

So if you have your sights set on doing some big things next year (and beyond), here are some suggestions to help you stay on track and (eventually) hit it out of the park. Read more

QT: Walking the Food Tight Rope this Holiday Season

All. The. Food.

Ready or not, the food holidays are coming and they are coming quick!

As runners, how do you walk the food tight rope during the holiday season?

Do you just go ahead and eat all the things? Do you try to hold the line and remain disciplined? Or do you try to find some semblance of middle ground? Read more

Happy New Year! What Stays and What Changes in 2018

Ready or not, it’s 2018 yall!

I’m not going to lie, I’m a big fan of taking the old calendar off the wall and putting the new one up in its place.

There’s just something fresh feeling about having a fresh start and 365 days to do with as you please.

I’m ready to grab 2018 by the balls and crush it, and I hope you are too!

What’s Staying the Same in 2018

When it comes to the podcast, not much will be changing in the New Year.

Episodes will continue to be released on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.

And for the most part, the same schedule will continue to be followed: interviews on Monday/Wednesday and quick tips on Friday.

So, no worries there.

What Changes are in Store for 2018?

We Fear Change

We Fear Change

In terms of the podcast itself, not much will be changing.

But that doesn’t mean that nothing is changing in 2018.

Patreon Changes:

One thing that I would love to do is to get the level of support via Patreon to a level where I didn’t need to bother with trying to find/attract sponsors/advertisers for the show.

But if I’m going to ask you to contribute to the cause every month, I want to make sure that I’m giving you even more than just the podcast.

Ergo, for Patrons only, I’ll be offering a free coaching/Q&A webinar/call/something 2x per month where you can jump on and get any questions that you have answered.

If you have something technical that requires some explanation, such as an injury that you’re dealing with, you’ll be able to jump on and actually talk to me (if you want to) to explain your scenario in detail. And if I have additional questions to help me further understand your situation, I’ll be able to ask you and really work out what the issue is.

The calls will happen on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month (starting on 16 January), with the 1st Tuesday call happening at 10 PM EST and the 3rd Tuesday call happening at 8 PM EST.

Additionally, patrons will get client pricing for private coaching/consult calls and for any other paid products/courses that I create. (Typically a 50% savings.)

A Quarterly Webinar:

Once per quarter, I plan on putting on a 100% pitch free coaching webinar open to one and all.

I do these webinars every month for my coaching clients, and I really enjoy doing them.

I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge, so why not do it a little more often eh?

I’ll be sure to let you know a week or two in advance of the webinar, so stay tuned!

Price Change for the Coterie:

Right now, the Coterie is $65 per month.

That will be changing at some point in the next 2-4 months, and the new price will be $75 monthly.

Get in before the price change? You’ll be locked in at the lower price for as long as you stay part of the crew.

I’m going to be working on some updates/tweaks to make the Coterie (and my coaching in general) a bit better in the coming weeks/months, and once those changes are complete the price change will happen.

Consider yourself warned! hehe

“Extras” for FB Group:

Again, this one is kind of vague but in 2018 I want to regularly do some “extra” things that will be exclusive only for those that are in the FB group.

I’ll definitely be doing some more “call me” runs this year.I may

I’d like to do some giveaways that are exclusive to the group.

Maybe some additional random live streams.

The Daily Diz posts won’t be going anywhere, and neither will the Proverb del Podcast posts. But if we can add more to the mix, may as well do it, eh?

If you’re not already in the group, what are you waiting for?

IG Stories:

I’ve dabbled in stories a time or two, but I’m going to try to get a bit more creative in giving some “behind the scenes” access every day.

So stay tuned as I try to figure out the stories in 2018!

One thing I am planning on doing is using the stories as a bit of “accountability” on a daily basis.

If you need/want some additional accountability, keep up with my stories and join in the fun!

2018 Starts Now!

I hope you’re as ready to take on the new year as I am.

It’s go time yall!

Quick Tip: Keep the Long View in Mind aka Patience is a Virtue (Best Of)

The post/episode was originally released on 12 May 2017

Don’t take shortcuts, they take too long. ~Sonia Simone

Words to live by, to be true.

In the past few days, I’ve come across several conversations related to patience and delayed gratification.

And as runners, we tend to suck in this area.

QT: Look Back on Your Past Before Moving Forward to the Future

When I was younger, my favorite thing about the end of the year was the annual “best videos of the year” countdowns on MTV and VH1.

Judging by the lack of music videos shown on either channel these days, I’d say it’s safe to assume they don’t look back at the year’s best videos anymore, eh?

I Digress

As the new year approaches, I’m legitimately excited for what is in store.

I have big plans (and goals) for my running, for my business, and (most importantly) for my family.

I’m guessing that you probably have some goals in mind for the new year as well, yes?
